METTA MEDITATION

This year at Wanderlust Festival in Mont-Tremblant, case QC, ampoule I had the pleasure of hosting a couple of meditation hikes; where we practiced Loving-Kindness on the Mountain.

Metta Meditation is a meditation for loving kindness.

To practice, treatment sit comfortably in a safe space. Relax and focus on the breath. Bring your energy and light to your heart center.

Repeat the following statements to yourself:

MAY I BE SAFE FROM INNER AND OUTER DANGERS

MAY I BE WELL IN BODY AND IN MIND

MAY I BE AT EASE AND HAPPY

MAY I BE FILLED WITH LOVING KINDNESS

In time, you can repeat these same statements with the thought of a loved one in your mind. You can repeat again, while thinking of someone you feel neutral towards. When you are ready, you can do this practice while thinking of someone with whom you have tension or difficulty. Finally, repeat these statements thinking of your entire community, no matter how large or small!
